Role-playing survival game is willing to take risks

This week on the cast, returning guest Lorson Poirier and I talked about the recent Blizcon reveals, Amiibos and the subject of game preservation.

Perceptive Podcast

We started off with the news from Blizcon and the Amiibo line. Blizzard’s announcement of Overwatch and how its set to compete with Team Fortress 2 was interesting considering how much of a fan Lorson is of it.

With the Amiibos, I shared my thoughts on why I’m curious about them but still not sold on the concept. While Lorson is not a fan of the line and doesn’t see anything great coming from it.

For the first time talking about games we played, both Lorson and I were on the same page and talked about The Binding of Isaac Rebirth and why we loved the game. Finally our big topic was on game preservation and collectibility. Both of us are big supporters of preserving games and we talked about why we want developers to push for it despite the costs. We also talked about the collectible market and how it’s very odd with the Game Industry thanks to the digital age.
