A quick post for today, I recently had another piece posted on BlackGate. This one looking at the recent changes and additions to the Darkest Dungeon. I’ve been holding off playing it because I really don’t want to burn out on it.
In this play of Gemcraft 2, I took another look at the game as I entered the Mid Game in terms of the Meta-Game.
A popular set of terms used for strategy or long titles are “early game, mid game and late game.” But we can take this further by breaking down a game’s design into these three categories. For understanding proper pacing and growth, it’s vital to have these concepts down.
In this frustrating video, I got my ass handed to me playing They Bleed Pixels. I attempted to show off some of the stages including the finale and some poor context sensitive control design ruined it. The ending got cut off due to streaming issues and you can watch the brief parts on the Game-Wisdom YouTube channel.
