This week, Ken and I were joined by freelance composer Danny Barkley to help us talk about composing music for games with composer Marc Canham, a veteran composer who recently did the soundtrack for Infamous Second Son as well as The Secret World.
Despite me being back to my old headset while I wait for a new one to get here, we had a great cast. We began with introductions as Danny and Marc talked about their backgrounds. We had a very interesting discussion on the differences between composing music for video games and movies.
With Ken and I not versed in the area of music, Danny took the lead to ask Marc some specific questions about how he composes music. Finally we spoke about Marc’s work on the Infamous Second Son soundtrack.
