Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 brings us the remastered version of Etrian Odyssey 2; featuring across the board improvements and an attempt by Atlus to rebrand the older games in the series following the popularity of Etrian Odyssey 4. With the first Untold game, my big problem was that I wasn’t sure if there was enough different to warrant a second purchase, but Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 feels like a bigger and more complete package.
Lost Dimension is the next JRPG published by Atlus for North America; combining JRPG design with tactical combat along with one very unique twist; I just wish that it was more prevalent in the game’s mechanics.
We’re in the top five now of the list for 2013 and we have one of the best RPGs released not only for the 3DS but in general and a sequel to one of my favorite franchises.
After the release of Etrian Odyssey 4 earlier this year, fans were surprised to hear that not only a new game was coming so soon, but that it was a remake of the original Etrian Odyssey from 2007.
With Etrian Odyssey Untold, Atlus is looking at attracting new fans to the hardcore series and in the process we’re left with an odd mix of new and old features.
