Today’s kickstarter alert comes from a suggestion of Chris Gardiner, my friend from Failbetter Games. They’ve started to help new Indie developers with their Incubation Program to get their foot in the door with their concepts and their first member launched a kickstarter for an interesting game: A House of Many Doors, and trust me, that name hides a whole lot about the game.
Last year the Darkest Dungeon was one of the most impressive kickstarters I saw and became a runaway hit for the platform. After an interview that was separated into part 1 and part 2, I finally had a chance to sit down with the game. Darkest Dungeon is every bit as brutal and demanding from the kickstarter trailer and whether or not that’s a turn on or turn off is going to be up to you.
After months of hard work on The Darkest Dungeon, I had a chance to sit down again with Red Hook Games to continue our talk about the game.
Clockwork Empires: The Lovecraft steampunk city builder from Gaslamp Games has been on my radar since the first announcement. They’ve recently had their own version of early access dubbed Earliest Access for fans to get the first version of it. Since then the developers have moved onto Steam’s early access as they continue to work on the game. While it’s still a ways out, I had a chance to talk to Gaslamp Games about the development of it and the studio.
