Will MLS Be A Playable League in EA FC 26?

Excitement levels are building ahead of the start of the new domestic seasons across Europe, and with that comes the latest offering from EA Sports in their globally popular EA FC franchise.

EA FC 26 is set to be released at the end of September across all popular gaming consoles and sweeping changes have been announced to build anticipation ahead of its release. Among those include changes to Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and general gameplay.

However, for many fans, they will want official confirmation that their team will be playable in the upcoming release. The MLS ranks among one of the most popular for bettors at YouBet.com, but will the competition be playable in EA FC 26?

Is MLS in EA FC 26?

The good news for fans of the North American competition is that the MLS will once again be fully licensed in the EA Sports release later this year.

The title will give a fully authentic experience to players wishing to play with their favourite team in the competition, as all teams will be fully licensed, meaning all players, stadiums, and matchday branding will be evident when playing in the MLS.

In fact, the competition will be one of 37 fully licensed tournaments in the upcoming release. As well as the MLS, the women’s NWSL will also get the same treatment, with all teams available to be playable.

Both competitions join world-renowned leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga, and the Bundesliga in terms of the experience level that players will be able to enjoy.

New MLS Team in EA FC 26

One of the most exciting factors surrounding the MLS’s inclusion in EA FC 26 is the fact that there will be debut in the title this year for the newest team in the competition- San Diego FC.

The Californian team only joined the competition at the start of the 2025 season, but they have quickly become one of the most followed, with a passionate home support at SnapDragon Stadium. San Diego FC have already been one of the standout teams in the competition this season, and they look set to achieve a playoff finish at their first attempt.

Their inclusion will mean that players will have the ability to control some of their standout players from the 2025 season, including Paddy McNair, Onni Valakari, and Hirving Lazano.

Will The FIFA World Cup Be Playable?

The biggest soccer event on the planet will be staged across North America in the summer of 2026, as the FIFA World Cup takes place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

However, following the decision for FIFA and EA Sports to part ways, it has been questioned whether the tournament will be included in the upcoming release to offer an unrivalled playing experience. But, the latest reports indicate that the tournament will be fully licensed ahead of the start of the tournament next summer

That will be welcome news to fans of the sport, as they will have the opportunity to try and win the world’s most famous competition with their nation. But, an official announcement regarding this rumour is yet to be formalised.

Who Will Be The Highest-Rated MLS Team in EA FC 26?

FC Cincinnati and Inter Miami were the two highest rated teams from the MLS in EA FC 25, and a similar pattern could emerge in the upcoming release.

LA Galaxy are likely to be upgraded after winning the MLS Cup in 2024, but their form so far this season could limit the star-rating that they are expected to achieve.

LAFC will also rank as one of the best teams in the competition, while significant ratings are also expected for teams such as Vancouver Whitecaps and the Nashville SC.

Who Will Be The Highest-Rated MLS Player in EA FC 26?

It is highly likely that Inter Miami will dominate a lot of the top-ten highest rated players in the release later this year. Lionel Messi was the highest-rated player in the competition last year, boasting a staggering 88 overall.

Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets also held excellent ratings, with 82 and 81, respectively. Further high ratings are expected this year, with Jordi Alba and Rodrigo De Paul likely to be rated at least 80. However, there could be some notable player ratings for stars that have recently joined the North American league.

Among those include German superstar Thomas Muller, who signed for the Whitecaps during the summer window. The former Bayern Munich attacker was rated 82 in the release last year.

But, the second-highest rated player in the MLS could come in the form of South Korean Heung Min Son, who recently completed a move to LAFC from Tottenham Hotspur. The winger was rated 87 in the game last year, and despite an expected drop, he will still likely only be out-scored by Messi.
