E3 2014 Wrap up

Role-playing survival game is willing to take risks

This week on the cast, Ken, Lorson and I talked about E3 2014 which was a bit hard to do as none of actually went to E3 this year.

We talked about the difference conferences and the games we saw. None of us were really excited by EA’s offerings except for Mirror’s Edge 2. Bloodborne or the spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls has me excited along with Sunset Overdrive from Insomniac.

We also talked at length about Ubisoft’s recent snafu regarding female characters in games. What our thoughts are on the matter and why Ubisoft handled things pretty much the wrong way all around.

Nintendo’s conference made us both happy to see some great sequels but wanting more original IPs from them. Ken went down the line of E3 announcements as we talked about what our thoughts are on the next wave of games coming out.

And winning by default, Nintendo won the coveted Game-Wisdom best of E3 award which means absolutely nothing.
