This week on the cast, I sat down with Iain Simons and James Newman who helped found the National Videogame Foundation about what they do and why it’s important.
Iain and James talked about their background in the Game Industry and their work with raising awareness for preserving video games. We talked about how the NVF was founded and their goals for the organization.
I also learned about Iain’s love of Bruce Springsteen, which became a critical part of our discussion. On a serious note, we talked about the changing views of the Game Industry and why this is an important time to talk about preservation. We also discussed what are the options for preserving games.
Unfortunately, they were really busy and we couldn’t talk for long, but I definitely want to have them back on to talk about game preservation and the NVF. James had some internet trouble a few times, but nothing too bad.
