This week on the Perceptive Podcast, we welcomed game designer Chris Hecker to discuss his work on Spore, Indie game development and of course his ongoing game: Spyparty.
Chris only had about an hour to talk so we did have to skip a lot of topics. There was so much more we could have discussed about the problems that faced Spore’s development, how crowdfunding and Indie development have taken off and especially about Spyparty.
With Spyparty, he did go into some detail about how the development of the game has changed, the recent art style reveal and his ideas for expanding the game once he has completed the 1v1 mode.
- Here is the Spyparty site where you can buy into the beta
- And here is the piece Soren Johnson wrote on a retrospective of Spore
