This week on the cast, James and I spoke with writer and Youtuber Stefan Eremia of the channel Compete Nonsense to talk about how Youtube has impacted the Game Industry.
We started off with talking about Stefan’s background and how things have changed over the last decade for writers. Stefan talked about the Danish Game Industry and how it’s growing. We talked about our thoughts on Indie Developers and what it’s like to run a business and where a lot of first-timers are struggling on.
There is a lot more that goes into making a successful company than just making a game, and this is an important part for developers to listen to.
For our major topic, we turned to YouTube and how vloggers have transformed not just how games are being sold, but how they are digested by a vast audience. While both Stefan and I got started with just writing, the market has transitioned to the point where you need both writing and video skills in order to make your mark. James had to leave early, but we were able to continue going and finished our conversation.
If you enjoyed the cast, please check out the Patreon campaign, we really need to hit at least the first goal to keep going as we were, and you can get some great rewards in the process.
