This week on the podcast, I sat down with Tim Wicksteed from Twice Circled to talk about his latest game Big Pharma.
We started talking about Tim’s background in the Game Industry and what led him to creating Twice Circled. We moved onto talking more about the Bullfrog Management Genre style of games; why we enjoyed them, what makes them interesting and how Tim was inspired by them and Prison Architect to create Big Pharma.
We talked about the design of the game, how Tim came up with the design and mechanics and what he has in store for future updates. One thing to keep in mind, this recording took place a few months ago and some of the things he talked about in the video may be in the current version of the game such as patents. Then we talked about the future of Big Pharma and some of the ideas Tim was thinking about. For our final topic/tangent, we talked about early access and what are Tim’s thoughts on it both from Big Pharma’s standpoint and general game development and selling.
Some bad news about the podcast quality, I noticed some sound degradation in this cast that has affected the next few. I did recently find the problem and fixed it, but I can’t do anything about the casts that were affected.
