This week I was joined by Anthony Conta: founder of Urban Island Games who specialize in making table top games for a discussion on his studio and some of the challenges of putting together a table top game.
We started off with introductions and talking about how Anthony got into game development. From there we discusses some of the challenges of setting up a kickstarter and an interesting discussion on some of the logistics that can come into play with physical goods that not many developers will think about.
We also talked more about table top design which was fascinating as I’m not that versed in the genre and Anthony was all too happy to talk about some of the considerations that go into making a table top game.
Anthony’s mic did pick up some of my speaking and you’ll hear an echo at some parts of the cast that I couldn’t edit around.
